What excites me most is creating new relationships between people and technology, but that same curiosity shows up beyond the screen too. In college, I hosted a one-day pop-up cafรฉ, designing an original menu and crafting signature drinks. Whether it's an interface or a cup of coffee, I love building experiences people genuinely feel something for.

Why UX?

Why UX?

My first lesson in UX didn't come from a classroom. It came from my grandma.

My grandma lives in China. Every week, I'd FaceTime to catch up. One day, I tried to walk her through a simple task on her phone. I explained every step in detail, yet she still couldn't find where to tap. That's when it clicked: the icons I'd never questioned were a language I had absorbed without realizing it. For her, they were just unfamiliar symbols.

My Question

She wasn't the problem. The design was.

Everyone deserves equal access to the same information, so why does it depend on who already speaks the language of the interface?

Here I am!

That question is what pulled me into UX, and it's what drives my work today: designing products that don't require a manual, or a granddaughter on FaceTime.
